5 Minute Salad Dressing
Have you ever made a salad and then looked in the refrigerator for your favorite Salad Dressing only to find that it’s expired or all gone? We do it all the time. That’s where I came up with this 5 minute salad dressing recipe.
I prepared a beautiful salad, dug in my fridge for my favorite dressing and some jerk (I’m not going to name them) left the bottle opened so it was all nasty and crusty inside. YUCK. I needed to act fast as I was hungry and already had my salad staring at me from it’s bowl.
Well, there is no need to ever look sad again. Here is a simple yet easy 5 minute salad dressing recipe that you can pull from ingredients you most likely already have in your cabinets.
You can make it sugar free and Vegan by exchanging honey for Xylitol. You can also change up the Thyme and Taragon and exchange them for Dill or other seasonings. I like adding a pinch of Cayenne to give it a bit more zip.
- ¼ Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- ½ Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- ¼ Cup Pure Lemon Juice
- 1 TBL Raw Honey
- 1 TBL Crushed Garlic
- 1 Tsp Thyme
- 1 Tsp Taragon
- Pepper and Salt to Taste
- 1 Pinch of Cayenne
Get a clean Jar and put all ingredients in it. Put the lid on tight and Shake it profusely until it looks creamy. Taste it! If it’s not sweet enough, add a bit more Honey. If it’s too sweet, add in a bit more ACV or even a bit of salt. Viola, Done and Enjoy. I don’t refrigerate this one. Just shake it before using. Keep up to a week.
