Dark Chocolate Almond Butter Freezer Fudge Recipe

And…it’s HEALTHY!  By why “Freezer Fudge”

Well, because of the Almond Butter. It’s not something that easily holds it’s shape out of the freezer and because I don’t make my fudge with condensed milk (as most recipes do) this will turn into a gooey mess you could better eat with a spoon if you don’t store it in the freezer.  And, it lasts longer too.

I used Organic 80% Dark Chocolate, Fresh Almond Butter, Honey, Coconut Oil and Coconut Flakes. Sea Salt and Organic Alcohol Free Vanilla.

BUT, I also added in Marshmallows at the last minute in the bottom of our Dish because, well, the kids thought it sounded like a great idea.  And then, we added some toasted Coconut on top of 1/4 of the Fudge just for Alex and Shawn.

You can add or Subtract whatever sounds good to this basic recipe which is AWESOME. Dark Chocolate Almond Butter Freezer Fudge Recipe

Dark Chocolate Almond Butter Freezer Fudge Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • 6-8oz Chocolate (Use Dark Chocolate over 70% cacao)
  • 1 1/2 Cup Almond Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Honey
  • 1/2 Tsp Sea Salt
  • 1/4 Cup Coconut Oil
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla

*Add Marshmallows, Coconut flakes, Nuts, or whatever you’d like to your dish or or eat it as is – which is awesome.

DIRECTIONS

I love using Organic Dark Chocolate bars.  For this recipe I used 2 Bars that were 3.5 oz each (7oz total) and broke them up and popped them into the microwave in my large glass measuring bowl for 1 Minute.  I stirred it and then heated for 30 seconds more.

Add the rest of your ingredients and Mix until all are incorporated.  Now, Taste it!  Do you need another pinch of salt? Perhaps a bit more Honey? Make sure to get the flavor your want before pouring it into your dish

I used a small 6 Cup Pyrex glass baking dish.  You can use whatever kind of container you’d like but I find that this size container perfectly fits the fudge and gives it a good height as well.

Place Parchment Paper in your Dish and then pour in your freezer fudge mixture.  As you can see, I added Marshmallows to the Parchment paper.  Also, there is such a thing as Organic Marshmallows and even Vegan Marshmallows but I used the ‘normal’ delicious and full of bad for you deliciousness from the store.

Let it SET in the Freezer for at least an hour before eating it.  A few hours is even better.  Cut and Enjoy and keep your Freezer Fudge in the Freezer!
